I'm Still Here and Crafting

It has been a few months since I last wrote, life happens.  Deborah Lee(Simply Deborah's Design Studio) and I hosted our first Crafter's Retreat. The Retreat was the last weekend in March at ZaneTrace Inn in Somerset, Ohio.  The Inn can house twelve and of course there were twelve of us.
Retreat Attendee (Lisa P. is missing)

Over the weekend we taught eight classes and had fourteen Make-N-Takes. We worked with various materials (paint, metal, stamps, tiles, paper, fabric, chalk, embossing powder, leather, resins, etc).  Each attendee received a goodie bag (glad someone took a picture), the supplies of the projects & make-n-takes and a T-shirt to commemorate the event. We also had door prizes and a Grand Prize at the end of the event.

Everyone must have had a great time since they have asked us when is the next Retreat. So we plan to do it again, not sure what we will do, but we will do something.

Just another day to be blessed

I have not been doing much in the way of crafting since the end of the craft season last year.  Deborah Lee of Simply Deborah Design Studio and I will be hosting an Art Retreat at Zane Trace Inn in March.  We have been working on the classes and items for the retreat.  The closer it get the more excited we become.

I did make some really nice cards for Deb's husband to give to her on their anniversary and her birthday, as you can see she likes red.

I also made Zulu coasters to sell last year.

It's A New Year

Happy New Year one and all !
Now that the holidays are over for another year, and I have completed the Craft Show Bazaar Season for another year I plan to do better about posting to my blog.
It has been some time since I posted any art work of mine, that does not mean I am not making anything, just that I have not had time to post to the site.  Last year I got my etsy site up and running, but did not put anything up for sale. By the time I had it up, it was craft show time and I did not want to post have it for sell on etsy and the same day sell at a show.  That would be bad business, as you know.  I am trying my best to get some of my work out there in the next few weeks to get ready for Easter, Mother's Day and other spring holidays and of course birthday sales.
So don't forget me, I promise to do better this year.

Some Recent Work

Well we had a show last month and now trying to get ready for the October, November and December holiday arts and craft show season.  Here are a few card I have been creating.  They are simple and fun to make.
These two cards I made for my Godsons (Rafael and Ryan) who live in Baltimore, MD.  Sometime it is so hard to think of things to use on a card for a male, but theses faces work will.  The the face in the upper corner by Impression Obsession represents me watching over them. I stippled glossy cardstock with Marvy ink. Then stamped on it with black StazOn.  Then using one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders, I impressed a design o the glossy cardstock and mounted it.

I made several cards that follow this format.  Here are just a few more.
