Some Recent Work

Well we had a show last month and now trying to get ready for the October, November and December holiday arts and craft show season.  Here are a few card I have been creating.  They are simple and fun to make.
These two cards I made for my Godsons (Rafael and Ryan) who live in Baltimore, MD.  Sometime it is so hard to think of things to use on a card for a male, but theses faces work will.  The the face in the upper corner by Impression Obsession represents me watching over them. I stippled glossy cardstock with Marvy ink. Then stamped on it with black StazOn.  Then using one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders, I impressed a design o the glossy cardstock and mounted it.

I made several cards that follow this format.  Here are just a few more.

I am Back

It has been too long since my last post and I promised I would get more pictures of my work on the site.  I just recently purchased some of the Grand Nestabilities from Spellbinders so in the near future I hope to post some of the things I have been doing with them.

Ok, lets continue the postings of some of my art work.
I love making jewelry, this is a bracelet and earring set I made with beads that look like stone.

On my next posting I am going to include a collage with several cards that I have made.  I find that I use many techniques when make cards.

More Pictures

I still plan to post at least 15 to 20 more pictures so that you can see what I make and the types of items I sell.

This piece I am very fond of.  I did it for the Napkin Challenge in one of the Stampers' Sampler issues.  It was not published then.  I did however appear in in the Aug / Sept 2010 issue on the preview for the next issue page. It was featured in the Oct / Nov 2010 issue, although they gave credit to a friend of mind who also had a submission, they did correct it in the Dec 2010 / Jan 2011 issue.  They also gave credit to the wrong company for the stamps I used.  Everyone should know that these stamps are from Stampin Up's "In The Wild" set.  It is a decorated cigar box with decorated stationary, cards, memo pads, envelopes and a pen. Tip: When using a napkin to decorate a dark item, first layer it onto white text weight paper.  This will allow the images on the napkin to show much better.

More of My Artwork

Well I guess I did not make the daily postings for two weeks, life happened.  So I am back to post more of my work.

This is The Little Fatbook. It is made from index cards sewn together to create signatures.  The signatures are then weaved to make the spine of the book.  Beads and embellishments are added for decoration.  I take no credit for the concept, I saw one and thought I could make it also.

I really loved doing this Nite Light.  I used a printed fabric, fiber and beaded trim.  This was attached to an adhesive nite light form.  You want to make sure everything sticks by using fabric glue.

This is a Valentine's Day card I made several years ago that was (and may still be) posted on Hero Arts website back in 2009.  The card was very simple.  I used heart stamps on black cardstock and embossed them. I then used markers to color the hearts in.

Welcome To My Site

Finally I am ready to post.
I have many things to share with you over the next few weeks, showing you some of my artwork.  I hope you enjoy what you see.  I currently sell some of my pieces at craft shows in the Central Ohio, USA area.   I am in the process of creating a site online to also sell at  TaylorMadeFUN.etsy.com , check it out often to see what I have for you.  I will post at least two pictures a day for the next week or so to give you a feel for the type of work I do.
Now what you have been waiting for! My Artwork

This journal was made using an old OHIO license plate cut in two halfs.  I used the Zutter to punch holds in the plate (be careful, not all metal will punch in the Zutter). After binding it, I tied ribbons to the OWires and added other embellishments.

The Puzzle Pin
This piece is made with puzzle pieces (painted and layered), dominos, wires, bead and metal embellishments.

Well this is all for now.  I am finally up and running with the site.  Chat with you tomorrow.
